In need of SCUBA gear, good chocolate and Laphroaig or sim.

In need of SCUBA gear, good chocolate and Laphroaig or sim.

  • SCUBA gear because I am buried alive under a never-ending pile of OMG too much frakkin', gorram work and administrative bullshit and colleagues who make me feel like I'm Mary-Sue-ing the "groundhog day" episode of Xena: Warrior Princess that LDW showed me when I was visiting him in fabulous European Capital, and large cat. X, having read about my fear of being buried alive ("I'm not dead yet!"), suggested I be buried in a cardboard box with an oxygen tank, just in case...
  • good chocolate because of the endorphins
  • Laphroig or sim.? Need you ask?

Also ...

Host needed for the next A/M Carnivalesque ... SQ? Tenth C? Magistra?

Gawd. I would, but I'm snowed under and have loads of stuff of my own I haven't yet posted. What sort of work is involved?

Stick to the Laphroaig and good chocolate. Scuba diving is too much work.

Tenthmedieval -- basically at around the 20th of the month in question, you put up a post that ties together a bunch of posts from the last two months. We try to push posts your way, so you don't have to do all the work! If not now, maybe in May?

Susan -- if you're the Susan I think, you'll be hearing from me very soon!

MMMMMMmmmmmm..... Laphroaig.

My stash is almost gone. Time to plan another research trip over the pond!

Weirdly, it's cheapest at the duty-free on the way over -- about $40 per LITRE rather than $55 for 750 ml.

Still, it's hard to drink too much of it, and it's never given me a hangover.

Go on then, count me in for May. I don't think I can take the current one on, if only because I'll be back from a fortnight in Catalonia only a week before and have too much stuff of my own to say and catch up on...
