Where in Germany were you? I studied there too, briefly...
Ooooh, Jean de Florette is one of my all-time favorites, too... but it makes me cry more than any other movie, ever.
What's the boat story?
P/H -- My dad owned one, and let me live there in exchange for paying the slip fees my first year at Beachy CC ... Not great, but my own place. The first place I ever lived by myself. Unfortunately, harbors are not very private and it sucks to get up in the middle of the night and have to walk up the docks to the bathrooms to pee!
TD -- a small city (250k people) that borders Schwaben and Bayern. A very old city that has a rivalry with München, was inhabited by Romans, and has (I think) the oldest stained glass in Europe in the Dom. It's on my CV, so e-mail me if you haven't guessed!
I thought I was the only one with a corona --- no one seems to know what they are :)
I know exactly how you feel!
mmm kudos on the curried goat.
Yup, I thought (at first) that you'd made a typo with the "Corona." :)
And Carpinteria made me think of the KCRW station identification -- they mention having a broadcast there at a different place on the dial.
Also - yeah, another medievalist Deadwood fan! :)
LOL, I had a Plymout Valiant Scamp, which was basically the same as a Swinger but the Plymout version.
Dang, that old slant six engine just went and went! Great cars, eh?
Bardiac -- totally great, except that the slant six made it really hard to do some types of work -- in order to replace a steering line, we had to pull the battery pan and a bunch of other stuff ...
