Not sure about this ...

Not sure about this

The colors, I mean. Grey background, or white?

Anyway, I figure it was time for a change, and I think this might be a bit easier to read? This is only the 4th layout in seven years, soooo ... Happy almost blogiversary!

Love the color scheme. I think it's a little too Papyrus-intensive, though. Font, I mean. I would use Papyrus for some headers and a complementary font for others.

I like the grey background...

Sorry, posted comment on the last post by mistake. I love it. It is SOOOOOOOO much easier to read. Yay! I don't object to the excess of Papyrus, which I rather like, anyway; the page is hardly cluttered, so one doesn't feel bombarded by fonts. And the pattern in the header background is lovely in gray-on-gray.

I like this! Colors are nicely muted and not too bright (as a white background would be, I think). I don't see any Papyrus, but maybe that's due to my browser settings... (?)

Meg,can you suggest a different font? I can look around, but didn't see too many that would look right ...

Thanks, everybody! Yay!

Well, I don't know what you've got, but I'd pick something sans serif (like Papyrus) -- but not so plain as Helvetica or Arial.

I'd leave "Blogenspiel" in Papyrus and the gray headers in the sidebar, and I'd change the post titles. Given the similarity in color and size, they steal the blog title's thunder (and it steals theirs).

Classy, reasonably readable (I prefer lighter backgrounds, but that's just me). Looks good.

I love it! The colors are nice and, as Susan said, way easier to read, too. I think the fonts are sleek and pretty!

I'll look to see what is available -- there weren't too many 'safe' styles on the font list I found. If I can't find something that coordinates, I'll leave papyrus -- which I've coded as 'fantasy'!

I like the grey background -- and the header touches are purely elegant!

As someone who has more or less audited this blog for a year without saying anything---I find the new setup a lot more inviting!

Very much like the colours, it seems a lot more modern and streamlined now, but not sure about the script font for the headers and sidebar. I'm slightly mystified here actually, because everyone else is talking about Papyrus and I wonder if my browser is substituting something else. But I can see the Papyrus on Acadamnit (which is agin' it) so I don't know. I will look from another machine but until then and otherwise my impression is entirely positive.
