Here are some pictures of my (home) office for meg ... I still need to take some boxes of stuff to campus, but it's workable. And I do most of my reading on the balcony or away from the computer. My work office? I don't think I'll be posting pics till it's in order, and then maybe here is not the best place to share, since I'd rather not out myself too much!

Looks like a good workspace. :)
You look in good shape for newly moved in! (Heck, you look better than me, practically, and I've been here two years!) Don't you hate the jungle of cords that lives under the desk? Anyway, I look forward to seeing office pics from school, sometime, somewhere...
Well, it's about all I've been doing. Otherwise, I won't be settled forever. And you will, NK!
It is, profgrrrl, except the afternoon glare. But I should be able to use the futon couch if I need to (I may get a better frame at some point -- this one is a pain to turn into a bed, but it was free ...)
Arsenal? An Arsenal supporter?
I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it!
I think I'm glad you recognized it! Please tell me you're not disappointed in me??
I do come by it honestly -- and I started at the end of the George Graham years, so I can't be said to have chosen them because they're showy or good! My second team is Charlton, since I married into a Charlton family (X was born around the corner from The Valley).
And, of course, whoever's playing against United or Chelsea.
I'm a cricket and rugby girl myself: much more likely to be found at Lord's or The Stoop. My hatred of the Arsenal (and probably my love of rugby) stems from having to share a house with a rabid Arsenal supporter for twenty-odd years.
My uncle (dad's younger brother) went even further than me . . . he turned into a Spurs supporter in revenge!
We shall not speak of that other N. London team ...
I couldn't help it, really. My first 'date' with X included an Arsenal game on TV, and he loaned me Fever Pitch, which made me love Nick Hornby and Arsenal.
But X lived at Lord's when he was young. Fell off the gazebo, too, I'm pretty sure. Although it may have been the one at Tunbridge Wells.
I have occasionally wondered what home life with Dad and Uncle Henry was like on north London derby days. Probably the only thing that saved my nan's sanity was that the worst teenage years coincided with the suspension of the football league.
X sounds horribly like me in many ways . . . I dragged my husband to a test match on our honeymoon!
Funny thing was, I really didn't mind :-) Watching lots of sport (football, cricket when available, boxing) was something we could do together that he really liked and I didn't mind. Of such small things is marital survival made.
I like your new digs - we have the same trash can!
yay, IKEA!
